Dr. Janice K. Connor, mother of two sons, has been an integral part of ministry since her teenage years. Since accepting the call of God upon her life, she has flourished more and more, by reaching the unsaved for Jesus Christ.
Witnessing on the campuses of Eastern Michigan University and the University of Michigan, she was a member of the “Campus Crusade for Christ,” an organization which reaped a harvest of many souls because of the John 3:16 gospel message.
As a Special Education instructor, Dr. Connor motivates and encourages young people facing challenges of abandonment, sexual purity, emotional, physical abuse, etc., to strive for excellence. After receiving a degree in Vocal Music, she served as “Minister of Music” and director of a one hundred voice children’s choir.
Since 1986, Dr. Connor has been an Evangelist/Missionary to Jamaica, the British West Indies, Haiti and France. In her line of ministry, a variety of services include home visitations, street and prison ministry, convalescent ministry, institutional
facilities, and serving as school liaison. Dr. Connor's philanthropic work has supplied less fortunate families with clothing, food, and the message that Jesus loves them.
Revelation 3:8 declares, “I have set before you an open door and no one can shut it.” The vision of Open Door Ministries International (ODMI) is designed to excite and incite individuals to unlock the door of their destiny through God’s regenerative power.
As the Founder of “Open Door Ministries International,” God has faithfully provided Dr. Connor with open doors to minister the esteeming Word of God throughout the United States and abroad.
Dr. Connor has a special ministry geared toward women, challenged with inner struggles and personal relationships. She is also an author of the book Propelling Faith which empowers people to overcome obstacles.
Dr. Connor reached a personal milestone after earning a Doctorate Degree in Theology. In addition, Dr. Connor has also earned a second Ph.D. in Counseling. This Proverbs 31 virtuous woman has weathered the chaotic storms of life, proving that the trial of her faith has worked patience, patience to experience and experience, hope.
Overcoming the storms of life, has been the anthem of Dr. Janice Connor’s message to all, boldly proclaiming from Romans 8:37 that we are “more than conquerors” through Jesus Christ.
